Linking to Library Resources in Blackboard

This faculty-oriented guide provides directions on how to link to library online resources in your Blackboard course. It includes detailed directions on how to create persistent links to content in the library's article databases.

Persistent Linking Instructions for Gale Literary Databases

Note: Gale Literary Databases includes Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism, and the Dictionary of Literary Biography.

Follow these steps to create persistent links to materials in Gale Literary Databases:

  1. Open Gale Literary Databases from the Library Databases page.
  2. Search for your topic.  
  3. Click on a title to retrieve the full item.
  4. Click on the Bookmark icon in the top right of the screen.
  5. Copy the Bookmark URL.  The bookmark URL includes the Blume Library remote access prefix.  
  6. Paste the URL in your Blackboard course, email message, online syllabus, etc.
