Linking to Library Resources in Blackboard

This faculty-oriented guide provides directions on how to link to library online resources in your Blackboard course. It includes detailed directions on how to create persistent links to content in the library's article databases.

Persistent Linking Instructions for the Annual Reviews database

Follow these steps to create persistent links to articles in the Annual Reviews database:

  1. Open the Annual Reviews database from the Library Databases page.
  2. Find an article on your topic.
  3. Click on an article title to pull up the complete article record.
  4. Click on the "Full Text" link. 
  5. Copy the URL in the browser URL box. Paste in a text editor and then add the remote access prefix (http://blume.stmarytx.edu:2048/login?url=) before the Annual Reviews URL.
  6. Paste the full URL  (prefix plus database URL) in your Blackboard course, email message, online syllabus, etc.
