Book Databases

Discover and the Library Catalog are the main databases to find books. This box highlight the differences between the databases and make some suggestions for search these sources.

Discover

Discover is the Blume Library's portal search.  It includes books and eBooks but searchers will also find journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, encyclopedia articles, government publications, and videos.

The best way to locate books is 1) search for your topic and 2) limit your search to Monographs

Library Catalog

The Library Catalog includes books owned by the Blume Library and the Law Library.  The Library Catalog mainly includes print books but retrieves a with a substantial number of eBooks as well.  I suggest using the Library Catalog when you want to limit yourself to print books.  It also offers the best way to browse by call number. You can also use your Rattler card number, under My Library, to see a list of the books you already have checked out.

Using eBooks

Check out the eBooks guide for help with finding, using, and downloading eBooks to your computer and, in some cases, to your eReader.
