  1. Choose a topic by researching ideas in overview information sources like encyclopedias.
  2. Talk with your instructor and your subject librarian, especially during the library research session.
  3. Begin searching sources like the library catalog, library databases, Google Scholar, ec.
  4. Refine your search based on the results you find from your initial search.
