IGS 3351 Course Description
IGS 3351 - World Religions - A study of the major world religions, their belief systems and their impact on social, economic, political and cultural development. Emphasis will be placed on Christianity (Western and Eastern), Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and primal religions. (Formerly IR 3351).
International and Global Studies Major
The International and Global Studies major at St. Mary’s University is a multidisciplinary degree drawn from courses in Political Science, Economics, International Business, History, Anthropology and Languages. The degree provides a broad understanding of world affairs and competence for entry-level positions in the field. It is also suitable for entrance into law school or graduate school. Students of this program have gone on to work in the Department of State, Department of Commerce, Department of Interior, Central Intelligence Agency and Peace Corps, among others.

The Association is international, politically independent, non-profit and student-run, and aims to have global impact in the political science sphere. Publications include Politikon and A Different View.
International Political Science Association
Founded in Paris in 1949 under the aegis of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). IPSA's mandate is to support the development of political science in all parts of the world, building academic networks linking East and West, North and South. Its aim is to create an inclusive and global political science community and to foster collaboration between scholars.
