Here are some tips for selecting books for the classroom.

  • Consider the age range, skill level, reading level and interests of students when selecting books.

  • Think about the amount of time that you have available for reading.

  • Verify the contents of the books by reading them to ensure that they are age-appropriate before you recommend them to students.

  • Collaborate with other teachers to align books to learning objectives.
