Public History at St. Mary's University

The Public History program at St. Mary's University is a diverse and hands on program that builds on the History's department's focus of looking at history through a real life lens. Public History students get opportunities for real world experience by contributing to Public History projects at all levels; local, state and national. They are able to develop these projects and have these diverse and unique experience through internships, career opportunities, fellowships and class projects. This guide serves to be an example of one of those student created resources to help engage the world in the history of slavery in San Antonio, Texas.
