Book Databases
Discover and the Library Catalog are the main databases to find books. This box highlight the differences between the databases and make some suggestions for search these sources.
Discover
Discover is the Blume Library's portal search. It includes books and eBooks but searchers will also find journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, encyclopedia articles, government publications, and videos.
The best way to locate books is 1) search for your topic and 2) limit your search to Monographs.

Blume Library's primary search tool. This robust feature helps scholars find scholarly journals and articles, books, eBooks, music, videos, government information, and more. Input the keywords of your research to generate a results list full of articles and items covering the topic. Use boolean phrases (AND, OR, NOT) and other limiters to focus a search or modify a results list. This tool searches most of the Blume Library holdings including the Library Catalog of physical items and eResources.

Library Catalog
The Library Catalog includes books owned by the Blume Library and the Law Library. The Library Catalog mainly includes print books but retrieves a with a substantial number of eBooks as well. I suggest using the Library Catalog when you want to limit yourself to print books. It also offers the best way to browse by call number. You can also use your Rattler card number, under My Library, to see a list of the books you already have checked out.

Search WorldCat for books, journals, primary and archival resources, and other materials owned by libraries in Texas and worldwide.
You can request materials we do not own via Interlibrary Loan.
