StMU Research Scholars Resource Guide

The StMU Research Scholars project research guide will serve as a resource for you. Navigate using the side menu.

  • Get Started
    • Use Credo and Gale eBooks (formerly Gale Virtual Reference Library) to find background information on many topics
    • Use Discover to find articles, books & eBooks, and other sources
  • Encyclopedias - lists all encyclopedia options
  • Databases - highlights databases that aren't in Discover or offer more content when searched individually
  • Books & eBooks - locate and use eBooks or print books
  • Newspapers - locate articles from online historical and current newspapers
  • Find & Use Images - find an image, figure out its usage license, and how to cite images
  • Borrow from other libraries - use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) or other local libraries if we don't have what you need
  • Zotero - use this free citation software to help you collect materials and cite them in various formats
  • Librarian
    •  get in touch with a librarian to make a research appointment

Test Remote Access

Remote Access

I recommend that you test your remote access to databases (off-campus access).  Your username is your ID number (without the S00 prefix) and your password is your last name. 

Email the library if you have trouble with remote access.
