Building the library collection is a shared responsibility between the library faculty and classroom faculty. Our collection is designed to serve the curricular needs of our students, but it is the faculty who help shape the collection. The Collection Development Policy guides the broad direction of the collection. To recommend the purchase of specific resources, contact the liaison librarian for your department or fill out the Request a Purchase form.
TexShare is a statewide program through which St. Mary's current students, faculty, and staff may check out materials, in person, from participating TexShare libraries.
You can get a free TexShare card at the Blume Library Circulation Counter. TexShare cards are only valid for one semester. You will need to get a new card each semester. You must present a current TexShare card, your St. Mary's Rattler ID card, and a photo ID (if your St. Mary's ID does not include a photo) at the library from which you wish to borrow materials.
For borrowers from other institutions:
Borrowers from other institutions can pay Texshare fines, assessed by the Blume Library, with a credit card using the Texshare online payment form.
