This is one of the most confusing Committees in the collection. Hearings from 1963-78, and Prints prior to 1983, are shelved alphabetically first. Hearings for the 96th Congress (1979-80) are shelved next by sequential numbers (e.g., 96-15). Hearings from the next Congress are also shelved by sequential numbers but a "J" was inserted before the "97" part of the number. The "J" is ignored in shelving.
